ICBC Continues to Enhance Inclusive Financial Service Capability
 

A few days ago, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) successfully held the final of the online skill contest for inclusive finance customer managers in Beijing. The contest aimed to promote comprehensive financial service capability and provided a great opportunity to strengthen job training and foster inclusive finance professionals.

The contest comprised of knowledge quiz, case analysis, video competition, live streaming PK and other sections, covering inclusive finance policy promotion, product design and brand publicity, as well as various inclusive financial scenarios and overall financial service products. The contest lasted for four months and was participated by nearly 2,000 customer managers from 38 branches. At last, 36 customer managers from 12 branches reached the final. In the final, participating branches presented and promoted inclusive finance policies and featured products by focusing on alleviating difficulties and high costs of financing for small and micro enterprises (SME), financial support for the resumption of work and production, assistance to SMEs for “business integration and intelligence”, cross-border matchmaking, poverty alleviation through finance and other scenarios. These branches demonstrated the content and achievements of ICBC’s inclusive financial service combining of scenario simulation, online Q&A and video presentation.

From the beginning of this year, considering regional economic characteristics and financing needs of SMEs, ICBC has increased loan granting in the inclusive finance area to ensure stability of the real economy. As of the end of September, ICBC’s outstanding inclusive loans exceeded RMB720 billion, a growth of 53% from the year beginning.
