ICBC PAY Cashback Promotion Terms and Conditions
 

The following Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) outline the ICBC Pay Cashback Promotional Campaign (the “Campaign”) by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (New Zealand) Limited (“ICBC”, “us”, “our” or “we”) in which eligible ICBC customers are rewarded by using our newly launched personal mobile banking feature, ICBC Pay, through which ICBC clients can pay using a QR code available at the point of sale.

This Campaign and its Terms are made available in connection with and in addition to our General Terms and Conditions (the “General Terms”) between us and our clients. In case of discrepancies between the provisions of these Terms and the General Terms, the General Terms will prevail. By participating in the Campaign, you agree and accept the Terms in full. 

1. Campaign Period

The Campaign runs from 4th of December 2023 up until the 31st of August 2024.

2. Eligibility and Participation

The Campaign is available to all our retail customers that hold one of our credit or debit Union Pay Dual Currency Cards and use our personal mobile banking (the “eligible clients”).

Only payments completed using our ICBC Pay in our personal mobile banking app and through a QR code at the point of sale (“QR Code Payments”) are accounted for the purposes of this Campaign.

3. Offer

Eligible clients that engage in QR Code Payments within the campaign period will be entitled to the following: 

3.1. The first successful QR Code Payment will entitle you to a single cashback of NZ$12.00.
3.2. Each subsequent QR Code Payment of a minimum NZ$10 equivalent or more will entitle you to a NZ$1.00 cashback. The cashback will be calculated in multiples of NZ$10 equivalent per transactions. The total cashback under the promotion (after the first transaction) is limited to a maximum of NZ$80.00 per customer.
 
Payments will be calculated and credited to your ICBC account in NZ$ every Friday (or subsequent Friday if that falls on a national public holiday) since 4th Dec, 2023.  

4. Exclusions

Payments using our Union Pay Dual Currency Cards on UnionPay POS terminal, local EFTPOS, and for online payments using card number (as opposed to QR codes) will not be calculated for the purposes of this campaign.

5. General Dispositions

5.1. Clients with multiple ICBC UnionPay cards or accounts are entitled to the limit under 3.1 and 3.2 above as only one unit.
5.2. Please contact us within 30 days of receiving the cashback by calling 0800 995 588. Otherwise, we will deem that you agree with the cashback payment and waived any rights to contest it.
5.3. Payments of cashbacks under the present Terms may be delayed in case of any unforeseen events outside our control.
5.4. We may at any time revoke you eligibility to the Campaign in case you breach our cardmember agreements, our General Terms, or any other agreements you might have with us.
5.5. We reserve the right to modify these Terms (including but not limited to the Campaign period, eligibility criteria, and reward method), suspending the Campaign or terminating it at any time. We will notify you of any changes to or revocation of these Terms this through one of the available channels such as our website, via text messages, newspapers announcements, or posters in our Queen Street Branch).
5.6. In the event of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of the Terms and Conditions of this promotion, the Chinese version shall prevail.
