Need to make an International money transfer? Look no further, as ICBC New Zealand is here to assist you with our comprehensive range of international money transfer services.

In-branch Transfer:
Visit our branch and bring your ICBC New Zealand debit card, along with your ID and necessary details of the transfer, including payee's account number, account name, address, bank name and SWIFT code. Our friendly bilingual staff will guide you through completing the required transfer form.

Online Banking or Mobile Banking:
For convenience, you can make international transfers through our Online Banking or Mobile Banking platforms. Simply log in to your ICBC New Zealand personal Online Banking or Mobile Banking, select transfer/remittance option, and input your transaction details. Currently, our Online Banking and Mobile Banking support payments in NZD, USD and AUD payment. If you wish to transfer funds in other currencies, you can do so at our branch counter.

Please note the cut-off time for international money transfer is 4:00pm on each business day. Instructions received after this time as well as those submitted on public holidays or weekends, will be processed on the next business day.

The cut-off time for personal CNY pre-settlement remittance service is 4:00pm. The service is not available on the weekends and public holidays in both China and New Zealand.

Leveraging the power of ICBC Group’s advanced electronic clearing and payment platform and network, we provide a safe, efficient and convenient money transfer services to any ICBC account in China, saving you intermediate bank charges.

Personal CNY pre-settlement payments:
We offer the option to make payments in Chinese Yuan (CNY) to mainland China using the prevailing ICBC NZ pre-settlement exchange rate on the day of the transaction. The beneficiary will receive the funds directly in CNY in mainland China. The service is available for personal remittance only and the beneficiary must have a valid Resident ID Card in mainland China. The service is specifically for non-business purposes only, such as family support or living expenses. It cannot be used for business purposes, capital transfer or investment purposes. The payment amount in CNY pre-settlement is limited to the annual quota of the domestic payees in mainland China, with a maximum amount of USD50,000.00 per year. Payments up to USD1,000.00 can be made at ICBC NZ Main Branch or through our Online Banking or Mobile Banking. For payment exceeding USD1,000.00 but within the maximum amount limit of USD50,000.00 (including), customers must provide their ID and the evidence to prove the source of funds and purpose of the payment. It’s important to provide accurate information about the recipient, including their name, contact number, address, ID details, bank information and account number. The fees or costs incurred for a return of the funds due to incorrect beneficiary information will be borne by the customer.

International money transfer requires the beneficiary account number, account name, residential address and the full name of the beneficiary bank and its SWIFT code to be provided.

If an intermediary bank is involved in the international transfer, a fee may be charged by the intermediary bank. ICBC New Zealand has no control over the charging of this fee.

ICBC New Zealand is unable to send or receive payments or guarantee payments will reach the beneficiary subject to international sanctions..
